As most of you will know, I am moving to the south coast in May/June time. It will mean starting from scratch with my registration. Could you read
this for me and tell me if you think it will affect my ability to get registered. It's worrying me a bit that it will.
I have been Cm'ing for 6 years in total with this problem and I ahve never had a day off because of it. TIA

Honey I have Lupus (please feel free to google nobody has EVER heard of it) its never stopped me working. I have only had 3 days off in 6 years, so i shouldnt worry love.

It's ok I have heard of Lupus. I think shosha what's bothering me is this. If i get re-registered, then i need to get a medical assessment from my new doctor. I'm worried that he is going to take a quick look at my notes and think "no way". Wereas my doctor here knows me and has done for 4 1/2 years and wouldn't hesistate to say yes on the form. i now I'm probably worrying about nothing but i just think it's one more thing to add to the stress of moving.
Also, becasue i struggle sometimes to walk on hills, we may need to get a doctors line to the DHE to ask for a house on the flat, and again I'm worrying that it will go against me.

When did you get diagnosed with Lupus? my friend has it, she got quite ill for a while but has picked up again recently

when I was 42 Saltire, it was bad at the beginning thought i would have to give up work, but they put me on a new med and I have had quite a easy time of it compared to others I think. I find it hard to walk to far, but it hasnt stopped me. Can you not get your medical done before you leave.

I would also think that they would take into consideration that you have been childminding in Scotland with no worries as well

Where abouts on the south coast are you moving to Saltire?

saltire · 08/03/2007 21:25

Portsmouth - We couldn't really go much further from where we are now!
