Am I a rubbish childminder?

At the drop in, a CM whispered to me - 'I'm breaking the rules - I've stuck bleach down the loo'

Are we not allowed to use it? I thought it was just not allowed in the presence of the kids for safety reasons.

I don't see why not!...Obviously when the children are there you would have flushed the toilet after squirting with bleach!

my god i love bleach! i use it all the time,not when mindees are here though! kept locked under the sink!

Why aren't you allowed to use bleach? I as a parent use it all the time. As long as it's out of reach of the children, what's the problem?

no, i don't think you are allowed to use it, i used to work at a pre school and we weren't allowed, though we had a fluid called "preschool cleaing fluid" which was strangely similar to bleach that we used after the children had gone home for the day...not sure why not allowed to use it though.

Keep it in a locked cupboard or in an area unaccessable by children & it's fine

i use bleach but only at night
i bleach the floors and toilet

dont think your a bad cm if you use it in the day its just that i dont have time just employed a cleaner today she starts on monday and i'm sure she will use bleach somewhere in the house, dont worry [gron]

Snap dmo! My very first cleaner came this morning ! I can't wait til next Thursday! And I use bleach too (but not during working day).
