Hi. I'm looking for someone to help out with cleaning, washing and ironing. Maybe the occasional bit of childcare/getting a meal on.
No idea how to go about looking. Agencies can't find anyone. Any suggestions?

I think you are looking for 2 different things
A childcarer will not want to be doing your cleaning and a cleaner will not want to he looking after your children
They are 2 different jobs
