I have been a nursery nurse for 6 years and was made redundant in oct 06 so i decided to become a childminder , I became registered in Jan. I have advertised everywhere you can think of and told everyone i know , but still havent had any enquiries . Am i being impaitent ? how long did it take for you to get your first job?

have you advertised anywhere yet?, local schools, h.v surgeries, soft play areas?..get yourself some business cards at www.vistaprint.co.uk..reg with them then wait for the freebie emails to come(you just pay for postage)..good luck

I started advertising in Jan, got first child in April, and then two in May. December is a fab time for work too (duh!)

I did think it might be the wrong time of year. I was thinking of going round local area and putting leaflets through doors. looks like i might have to do some temp nursery work till i get some work
