Death Of The Nanny Agency - September 2008?

From September 2008, Local Authorities (I expect via Childrens Information Service) will have to provide parents with a lot more information about childcare services. This is anticipated to include details of Nannies - as from April 2007, Nannies can be registerd on the Ofsted Childcare Register, along with other forms of childcare provider.

Full details are still a little sketchy in my view (well, at least I've not grasped it all yet), but the above paragaph seems to be the general gist.

Once parents are able to phone CIS for details about any childcare provider, be it a childminder, nursery, after-school, creche, holiday club, nanny or even a babysitter... will parents still use nanny agencies? There are not any Childminder Agencies to my knowledge... are there?
