Hi There

I need to do a risk assessment of my home (ground floor only) for my childminding business. Does anyone have a layout that they could let me use as i cannot find anything applicable to childminders

many thanks

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

There is one in my text book, it's a basic table is that what you mean? There are four columns to it, these are the headings that go at the top of each column: Room, Possible danger, Why is it a danger, What I can do about it. I had to do one of these for my network co-ordinator.

My network co-ordinator gave me a simple risk assessment form (for childminders) - I just need to record the date of assessment, and to put in what the hazard/s is/are, where it is, who might be harmed and how, and what can be done to minimise the risk.

It states that a hazard is a danger or something that could cause harm to somebody. A risk is the chance of a hazard actually causing harm.

It is your choice to do this risk assessment, or have you been asked to do one?

The form I was given was just columns with headings (the ones I listed), and looked liked it had been typed up by someone in the office!
