Has anyone who has been a Registered childminder taken on a apprentice?? what is involved?? just wondered after turning away so many people recently who require my services.
I would appeciate any positive feedback.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I've no real idea about childminding but I did an apprenticeship.

There were whole weeks at a time that I was away from the office, but I know some apprenticeship providers do the lessons more regularly like one day every week/two weeks.

Wouldn't that mess with your numbers?

Wouldn't you be better off employing an assistant ?

In my experience this was highly unreliable option as my apprentice sometimes decided not to turn up without warning. I employed an assistant instead from a better pool of candidates. If you're relying on them for your numbers be careful as your reputation will be at stake.

Thank you it was just a idea, think it's probably best to leave it at the idea stage with this in mind!
