What would you expect to pay per hour for a babysitter? A friend is looking for work but is unsure of what to charge.
Thanks

£8 an hour for an adult. Less for a neighbourhood teen. Taxi home if they aren't ultra local.

I charge £10ph in N.London...I know nannies that charge from £10ph-£15ph

£8 to £12. I wouldn't be able to pay more than £10 though.

£10 in SW London with an Uber home.

Wow. I have three kids in central London and if someone asked me for more than £10 I would think they were joking. Given is easy to find an £8 sitter who pays £10-£15???? His is for someone to sit on your sofa while your kids sleep! Unless the £10+ sitters are ironing and cooking while they sit.

PatriciaHolm · 20/08/2016 18:01

The agency sitters recommend about £8 per hour.

NW London I'd pay £10 per hour to someone from my son's nursery or who was otherwise qualified and £7-8 to a teenager

I won't pay more than £8/hour in the evening, I also wouldn't pay for the taxi either. £10/hour during the day.
