We have a lovely au pair, who is planning to start with us in October. I've just skyped with her, and she's worried about getting health insurance. She's German. Does anyone know if she'll just be covered by the EHIC scheme? As an au pair (she'll be here for 9 months), does she count as a 'temporary visitor' or 'ordinary resident'? Will she get free NHS healthcare, or will she need a private travel or health insurance policy?
