Are any of you "poncey" childminders in Hackney?

I was reading Fillyjonk's thread with interest, i am looking for a slightly less poncey childminder but wondered if any of you were based in Hackney? I'm looking for a CM for when I return to work full time in April.

When I say slightly less poncey I mean i'm looking for someone with my own standards - ie healthy food but not necessarily all organic, fair amount of exercise, reading etc etc, relaxed and above all kind and with a genuine love of children.

Actually I think that just means I want a good childminder who I won't have any qualms about leaving my dd with.

Anyone?

hi dot... i think my best pal from school's little sister (who is early 20's and a mum of 2 young dc) is a CM, and she lives in Clapton... i havnt seen her (the lil sis) in a long while - not much since she was a child herself really! - so dont know what sort of food she'd do, but she always seemed a lovely girl to me

Hi Nappies, wow aren't you helpful! I could have your whole family and friends helping out with my domestic needs if it worked out.. It may be worth a try so if you could find out if she's a CM and pass on her contacts i'll get in touch with her.

Seriously, someone must be (or be able to recommend) a lovely childminder in Hackney? Or are you all keepng the good ones to yourselves..?
