Double buggy in a Zafira

does anyone know of a double buggy that can fit into a zafira boot with all 7 seats in use

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

i dont know for sure but i expect a phil and Teds might

it folds VERY flat especially with the wheels off (they come on and off VERY easily, takes about 1 second per wheel) so would imagine it would be able to lie 'upwards'.

Otherwdie surely a maclaren type one would... but thten they are a nightmare to push unless you are in a shopping centre IMO!

never knew that about maclaren handles...

i can get a maclaren techno XT (single) in the boot of my clio... though the maclaren volo handles do fit quite a bit easier

lexiemum · 14/01/2007 18:38

with all 7 seats up - the boot amounts to a width of about 20cms! - so maybe a coupld of bags of shopping and a change bag. though the foot space between the front and middle seats is rather large - so if you only had rear facing or teeny toddlers in those seats it would fit a treat.

its not meant to be used as a permanent 7 seater so to get the two people out of the back seats can be difficuly esp if you have stage 1 carseats in the middle. you'd be forever playing with the seatbelts to make sure everything is secure.

Graco Duolite will fit and get an elastic thingy to hold it in place so it doesnt fall on you when you open the boot

I had the Toys R Us Bruin double - Twin Runner, I think it's called. It fitted with all 7 seats up but you had to give the boot a good slam to shut it! It went in diagonally so you could fit coats/bags etc underneath one end. Having said that, they've changed it slightly since I bought mine and the wheels are bigger so I don't know if it would still fit.

thanks for all the replies, I have a friend with a graco so i'll try that.

I am also thinking about a buggy pod to attach to the side of a single, anyone tried one??

shosha, let me know how you get on with the connectors,

hiya

I have a zafira - if I am using all seven seats then I use my single buggy and a buggyboard. I use my maclaren twin traveller at other times.

What about the combi double buggy

combi we2

I have the combi dash - have used it for my daughter since she was 6mths - I really like it.If the WE2 had been around when I got my double I would have definitely considered it. I may try to find a local stockist so I can give it test drive!

The single and buggy board is not ideal especially if the older one is tired.

The maclaren is a big heavy clumpy buggy!

lmcalder · 18/01/2007 22:22

it think the combi is the same size (as they take the same rain covers) it just folds differently. It is a bit pricey though.
