Can anyone reccommend where I can find a night nurse and also give me an idea of what the going rate is? I am in North London. Thanks!

hi there, do you know for how long you will be needing a night nanny, and would it be every night? I have done night nannying before so was curious as to the hours you were looking for. thank you.

Not sure as it depends on the cost but probably 3 - 4 nights a week, 9pm - 7pm.
Do you work privatley or through an agency?
Thanks.

hi likemysleep. I do not work through an agency but i am qualified and have c.r.b. I presume you mean 9pm till 7am !! How old is your baby and are you breastfeeding? Thanks

Now you come to mention it 9pm to 7pm is not such a bad idea! The last couple of nights have not been so bad and she has only woken up twice so I'm going to see how things go.

Hi likemysleep, Good to hear you got a bit of sleep. If you feel you would like just the occasional whole nights sleep that would suit me fine. I look after a 2 yr old old 2 days a week in N4. Anyway feel free to put up your e mail addy and i will send you mine if you want to get in touch. thank you

likemysleep I had a fantastic maternity nurse/night nurse when my daughter was about 10 weeks as we were at the end of our tether form sleep depravation - she was fantastic and can pass on details if you want them - contact me if you do - I would highly recommend her - she is happy to do the odd nights - she really helped us alot.

I can't recommend anyone as in the end my night nanny p'd me off (long story) BUT the whole night's sleep twice a week was a godsend and kept me sane!

If I ever have another I'd absolutely get another one - just not the same one I had with ds!

Night nannies (generically - can't speak for the agency called that as I haven't used them) are worth every penny!

Mind you by the time I got mine I wasn't breastfeeding so wonder whether it is as worthwhile if you are?
