CM Club - Questionnaire for parents before Ofsted Inspection?

I think I read something about getting the parents to feedback so you could show Ofsted how happy they are with you. Does anyone have a link to a form I can crib from please?

Ofsted are coming next week and I've only been registered since beginning of November!

When Ofsted send you the letter re your inspection they usually send a couple of parents questionnaires for you to use if you want to.

Perhaps you could give them a ring Or just write out a sheet(are you happy with the childminding service?, what could be improved? etc) and ask parents to complete. (or ask them for an open reference. )

i'm doing my kitemark and one of the questions was:
what impression of the ethos of the setting do parents get?
so i sent a letter home to every parent with this question, and got lots back so i photocopied them and put them in my parents comments book
also i keep birthday/christmas/thank you cards in my file too

whatkatydidntdo not sure if its just my area but ofsted now phone to say they will be there that week, ofsted phoned me 6pm on monday and came today

Ofsted used to send out questionnaires when they told you which month they were coming. Now they only ring you up the day before, there's no time to send them out.

I do leaving questionnaires, which shows that everybody has left cos of change of circumstances and not cos I am a c**p cm. She only skipped thru it though - there's quite a lot in there now.

For my last inspection I gave parents a note advising Ofsted may call while their child is present & giving them Ofsteds phone no. if they wanted to contact Ofsted about me. (its on my notice board anyway but I don't think anyone reads it!)

Thanks for all the advice. I'd forgotten I'd asked - I was so stressed out about the visit. I ended up just typing something up to say are you are happy with the care? What positives and what negatives. It seemed to be ok.
