Childminder in Crouch End London

A friend of mine tells me that there aren't any childminders in/around Crouch End and that she has to have an au pair (which she can ill afford). Is this true? I find that a little hard to believe but maybe it is!

There are childminders around there. She needs to contact Haringey council and get their list sent through. Whereabouts is she exactly? (I'm in Holloway which is close)

Thanks welshmum, I'll let her know that, she's fairly central and I think is spoiled by having had an aupair she can't imagine coping with dropping off. But I'm sure there must be alternatives!
