My fab wonderful childminder has asked if I would write a reference for another parent looking to employ her as a CM.

I just dont know what to write, she is amazing not in the creative sense and ds never comes home with a statue of liberty made out of toilet roll, but her mindees (or mine at least) become very much part of the family, they go to playgroups and shopping out for lunch etc.

However this new mindee will be a before and after school only so different for me as ds is there full time and is only 2.

Can anyone help me write, dont know what to include and what not to say, TIA

I have known Mary Poppins for three year as my son's childminder.
I have alwasy been impressed with the level of care she has shown my ds. Her calm, friendly nature means that he is always happy to go to her and she always is pleased to see him.
Her home is clean, safe and full of interesting toys and books that are age approriate and well cared for. She plans structured and free play activites and plays wiht him as well as taking him out to playgroups and shopping much like a Mum would do. Lunches and snacks are well chosen and healthy and he eats happily with her.

I can recommend Mary Poppins without reservation. My son is treated like part of her family and I am sure yours will be too.

Very good misspinkcat, do you fancy phoning all my mindee parents and getting them to write that about me! But seriously that sounds really good, not too long and straight to the point.

thank you so much, just the kind of thing I was looking for.
I would have ended up going on and on for ages, probably saying things I shouldnt like 'well she offers to have him overnight at no extra charge when I'm on an early shift'

Think this is perfect though succinct and to the point
