While hunting around the net today, I found a document over at DfES relating to childminders. I thought it may be of interest to some of you.

Some topics covered:
- Where are childminders located? Childminders are not evenly distributed around England.
- How long have childminders been providing their service?
- What percentage of childminders provide care during only during Term Time?
- Average annual expenditure
- Average childcare fees
Plus lots more.
It is based on 1123 interviews with childminders, so is representative of those childminders. Therefore I would expect that some of you won't agree with some of the results, especially things like fees (which certainly to me seems rather low).
