CM CLUB:So did you get anything nice/unexpected from mindees/parents at christmas then??

i got of mindee one a beautiful rope style short necklace, black beads with circular beaded shape hanging from it(crap description!, but lovely necklace)

and from mindee 2 i got a lovely gold plate with pretty white /clear candles to aarange round it with decorative beads.
...nice, thought out gifts..felt very appreciated

I got a package from Germany... containing chocolate - how did they know that is my favourite Surprised to get anything from them, as they had suddenly moved back to Germany in December.

I had lots of wine, choccies, a plant, earrings and a bottle of gin! I was very happy!

i got some lovely stuff from my mindees. makes me feel very appreciated!!

Bunch of roses from one family, and a Gordon Ramsay cookbook from another. I love flowers and cooking, so both gifts really appreciated.

It's so nice to be appreciated ibn't it? Especially as I'd felt really dispirited before Christmas. i had lovely bath things, Chocs and wine.

oh yes and dd got a lovely teddy with bubble bath and huge tube of cookies! and off other mindee a beatifully illustrated book about santa with pop up pages and secret bits to open

yes, cos IME, some parents 'forget' these things, like going away for a fortnight over christmas and not remembering to pay you until they get back..and even then, the 2nd day they get back because they didnt remember how much it was

i like the newsletter idea was hoping to have one done this week, but not had time, just about to take tree down!
i also request payment in advance one mindees parents transfer on wed to reach me by monday so i am paid for the week coming, but one midees mum presently doesnt have the money in on a wed to do this, she pays cash which we then have to take to bank, this s the one who im awaiting payment on, the other one made payments as normal while they were off

Hmm, strawberry, I'm in the same boat re payments, invoices sent out on the 18th with payment due on the 22nd, only one family forgot to tell me that they are away untill weds next week and didn't pay before I finished, plus they don't live far away from me either so it wouldn't have been that inconvienient to pop round and pay me!
