Is there anyone out there who would be able to look after my dd (19 months)for 2 days per week? Ideally term-time only.

Hello Tigger, have you tried North yorkshire's children information service (cant remember website sorry!) ive been looking on that for an evening childminder (no luck) but the site lists childmindersin area...have you thought about nurseries? am in harrogate and have looked around at some nurseries

Hi Freedomfighter - just been on the cis and have tried a couple of contacts there. We already use an excellent nursery but I don't really want dd to be there full time. (and they charge full price in the school hols)

btw several of the carers at the nursery do babysitting after they finish work (typically about 6pm) and they are all really good. Let me know if you want me to ask around.

can i ask which nursery you use? (r we allowed to say on here! i'm not sure i'm quite new to here!)

We use Kindercare. There are several but the Pannal Ash one is imho the best.

I looked at one of the Kindercare ones, but not pannal ash one - have you heard about any other nurseries? did you have any success with the contacts from cis?

freedomfighter · 27/12/2006 21:22

would be looking at 5-10pm ish... have already "prepared" work for fact that may not be able to do evenings, they didn't say anything - just deathly silence!

I looked at several about 16 months ago, but can't remember the names They were all pretty good but K'care stood out as being really good and we have been really pleased with it. how old are your lo's?
