CM Club: Am I being unreasonable? (christmas 2007 version)

I have had loads of hassel this year over time off etc

So can I (if I announce it in Jan's newsletter) book from 24th dec to 4th jan off

They don't pay between Christmas & New Year but it would be 4 days paid leave. I don't often take any paid leave (1.5 days in 3 years) but I could get 2 weeks in the sun & I really fancy it - maybe to see DH's family in Jamaica?

Or is that unfair and unreasonable?

My childminder had iirc 3-4 weeks paid leave a year. Very reasonable too.

I might even close at 3pm on the 21st......?

I've given parents written details of my holidays before (summer and Christmas), and also backed it up verbally - and, as expected, some of them still don't remember!!

I think it would be better if you had a tattoo on your forehead.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me... you are good to plan so far ahead. You could have a section of the newsletter or Important Dates and include your Xmas holidays in each edition, along with other important dates as they crop up.
