I'm going to be employing a nanny soon and want to use a payroll service to sort PAYE etc... Any recommendations? It's there much difference between companies other than price?

Thanks! Smile

How much help do you need?

They all offer the same function of producing monthly or weekly payslips.
Some will talk to you for as long as you need about how things work and will offer advice on anything to do with nannies. Others purely do just payroll and don't do much in terms of general support.
Some send printed payslips to your nanny. Others expect you or your nanny to use an online system.
Some will charge for any changes to the payroll, be that a change in hours to a change in nanny. Others will not charge for any changes regardless of how many there are during the year.
Some will provide an employment contract based on a template. Others will provide you will a customised contract. Some will let you use your own contract, not insist you use theirs.

Costs do vary. Some say they cost £100 but they may charge for any changes so your cost is uncertain.
The two biggest providers are NannyPaye and NannyTax.

Call them and see who can answer some general questions you have without giving you the hard sell. You want someone who you feel happy to call about any nanny related issue.

Payefornannies are great and half the price of nannytax. For an extra £20 per year you can have access to their employment lawyer.
