Any opinions on whether we should and how much? We live in London.

One week is the norm

I don't think you are obligated. But if you can afford it, I think it will be appreciated.

We will give our nanny a xmas bonus and one bigish xmas gift from the family and a small something from DS - it is not expected, but I'm sure will be much appreciated.

Cripes - couldn't possibly afford one week's worth. We just buy her an Xmas present worth about £25.

That's about £25 more than I get from my employer plus I have to pay for my work Xmas party myself. [Feeling sorry for self emoticon]

£100 plus a gift
