Tips to help me care for a 6 month old

I'm going to be babysitting for a friend's 6 month old baby for a day. The baby has rarely been away from the mother. What advice can people offer to help it go smoothly?

maybe find a group you could go to just for the day? My local library does a rhyme time and my 6 month old loves it!

Get the mum to write baby's routine with times for it all. Honestly, made my friend do it when I babysat for her. Made all the difference.

Make sure they bring pram/buggy and when all else fails go for a walk Grin

Good luck! My friends wee one was going through major separation issues but by mid morning it was me she was crying for if I left the room
