hi there I CM for a 7.6 year old boy after school Mon-Fri. Twice a week he goes on the computer for a while, I have age appropriate books (loves animal fact books) We have blocks but instead of building anything we see how tall/long we can make a tower. We have a traintrack which can take a fair while to put together We also play games like snakes and ladders and junior scrabble. There are times when he just wants to chill and play with the loads and loads of matchbox cars and garage we have or we make ramps and have competitions between several cars. Also have one of those mega art folders, with that and an assortment of boxes and paper, glue etc he makes robots, dinosaurs etc. We have also visited some of my friends occasionally who have older boys and may also go to the library/shops. Cooking is always a winner not matter what age an easy biscuit or muffin recipe is no trouble at all. I know that uou may not have/want to do all of these things but i hope i have given some ideas for you to use
