London after school care- how much?

I only need care one day a week. No after school club. Emailed childminders who pick up from that school and only one replied. She charges £10/ child/ hour. That seems a lot but maybe out of touch

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes. It's just one day and just afterschool. TBH that's cheap if she does not have a minimum afterschool charge and she charges by the hour ....

I charge £10 set fee for after school session. Collect at 3.20 must be picked up by 6pm and includes supper. I am in a nice area of south London.

Wow. £10 an hour per child, where do you live???

I charge £24 (SE London/Bromley) for pick up and drop off includes a proper dinner.

A fairly deprived part of SE London zone 2. They must have a cartel going - another childminder emailed with same rate

That sounds about right. To offer after-school places means they can't take on more fulltime pre-schoolers so they charge more for less hours to make up the gap.
