Hi ,

I'm a qualified primary school teacher and have previously worked with schools and the local authority. I'm now in the process of registering to become a childminder and I'd love to know what parents priorities are when choosing childcare. I'd be grateful for any insight you can offer.

Flexibility within reason

Good understanding of child development

Homely atmosphere not a mini nursery

Lots of out and about-ing in the community

No dog (sorry)

Thank you, that's a good start. I'd be the same myself about the dog but hopefully a goldfish isn't a problem x
