So the question is what are my options??? How much does each cost for a 3 year old and a 9month old. I have a small room for a nanny maybe but are childminders cheaper. It's for 10 hours 5 days a week.

Arrrrggghhh

where do you live?

Options depending on what is available in your area are:

Full Daycare Nursery*
Nanny (live-in, or live-out)Childminder
Relative
SAHP (Stay At Home Parent)

  • = Can/May accept Childcare Vouchers / WTC.

Cost will vary a bit depending on your location. I think you are in East London, from your previous posts... is that right? Can you give any more location info, such as first half of postcode?

Full Day Nursery in London E4, would cost
(Figures from Tiny Tots Day Nursery )
£150 per week for child under 2. £145 per week for child aged 2-5. Thus for your children it would be £295 per week.
Week is 8am-6pm Mon-Fri. Payment required 52 weeks per year.

Live-Out nanny I would expect to cost around £100 a day once you take into account Tax/NI etc.

Looking at same area, London E4... a childminder could cost £200 to £250 a week, per child. Data from ChildcareLink, so may not be fully accruate. Contact local Childminders for details of their fees.

Hope thats of some help.
