Hi Ladies!
I am very nearly registered as a cm (in wales) I have little bits to do to the house which my sister is going to help with next week and all my NCMA reg and paperwork is here waiting. I then have to wait for CSIW to come and inspect me again which shoudln't take more than a couple of weeks waiting for an appt (I hope ).

My q is, when should I advertise for spaces? I desparatly need to start working asap but dont want to mess potential parents around by not knowing when I am going to be registered!

what do I do?

Hi Evamum - Im also in Wales (CSIW) When I had my inspection bk in August for registration my inspector said how hav i bn advertising etc-I told her I hadnt as I didnt know I was allowed - Anyway she said I could advertise as long as i didnt say I was regisitered then that is fine. inspector didnt need to come bk as hse was fine but didnt get properly registered until last week - They are really really slow - Im still looking for work - Been advertising now since August - I think from what ive gathered most people get in touch via the CIS which u wont go on until registered.
My advise would be to advertise u have vacancies coming up - if someone rings -chat to them to see when they are looking to start then u can explain etc - if u then have someone interested u could ring csiw to see if they could speed things up
Good luck
