Childminders in Orpington Kent

Hi, can anyone help. I am looking for child care in Orpington Kent for my 5 year old daughter and my 10 month old son. I am looking to return to work very shortly and need to organise child minding. Not sure if I need a nanny, child minder or au pair.

Can anyone help out? or offer advise. I already have a list from my local council, but I have to find someone who can do my daughters school run etc.

Did the list come from the childcareinformation centre? If so that will be the most up to date and include any registered childminders in the area.

Thanks, I will search the list out (think I've filed it)! Just thought I would try this site too, just in case any childminders are lurking.

Hiya. I met a lovely childminder on Mumsnet who lived in Orpington. I'm sure she is called childminderjanet. Have a good look back at classified childcare as she was advertising regularly. I also met her when I went to "meet the minder" back in August time and she was really warm and friendly. I'll have a look back too and see if I can find some details for her.

Allycat · 26/10/2006 22:24

Is definately childminderjanet. I have bumped her add so you can either contact her direct or via mumsnet talk. I don't know what schools etc she covers though. Good luck!

Aww thanks for that Allycat but I'm full at the moment, how are you getting on?

BarbaraB if you email me [email protected] with days/hours/school your daughter goes to then I'll ask round for you as I know a lot of childminders in the Orpington area.

Cor well done - being full. I am almost too and the phone does not stop ringing at the moment. I have a vacancy but am trying to fill it term time only. I'm sure that the right one will come along soon. Take care and happy minding! Allison x

I am looking to returing to work full time in London so need to discuss the full day, ie son all day, daughter to and from school. Perhaps you can give me your email address and we can discuss.

My daughter turned 8 recently and that makes me feel rather old, and worried that my baby is growing far too fast too!
If you need anyone in the future let me know, you have my email!
