Hi
Hope you don't mind me asking but I was reading the thread on 7 seaters and am looking at the Grand Scenic myself, have a normal scenic at the mo. How do you find this automatic handbrake? do you get used to it?
Anything else to look out for?
Also did you get a new or used one? I am only down the road from you in Cardiff (used to live in Pontypool too, small world) and have just really been looking at used as the new ones seem soooo expensive.
Thanks for any advice
Frankie

Hi Frankie!

Im from Cardiff too lol (Fairwater) moved up here as DH is from!

Right my precious car is from Ron Skinners - Looked everywhere & we found they do the best prices we wanted. Also we found 2 in Jeff White (canton) but by the time we thought about it somebody had already beaten us to it.They also have a garage in St Athans.

The break seemed strange at first but now its fab and we dont think about it at all. U dont tend to have to touch the break as when u press the stop button the break automatically comes on and when u start car and accelarate and bring clutch up to take off the break automatically comes off. So as u can imagine hill starts are fab. No more clutch control and taking hand break off at the right time.

We got an 05 plate and cost around 9500 with around 11000 miles on clock.Obviously u can get them cheaper for higher milage and think u can get older models but not sure if they only go to 04plate.??

Cant say anything bad about the car at all (touch wood) its running lovely and I have a 1.6 petrol and it doesnt eat the petrol and it has good enough power behind it and recently drove my dads 2litre diseal picasso and ours is much more powerful.

Any other questions feel free.
Right going to Cardiff now to pick kids up from my mothers lol
Take Care - Nic

Hi
Thanks for that. We went down to renault today to have a look at them again, looked at one at Jeff Whites a while ago. Going to try to sell our scenic privately first as pt ex is rubbish price wise.
Are you busy with Cminding? I'm full at the moment, I have a 2 1/2 year old son and then look after 8 others P/T.
Lucky you having a night off from the kiddies, I havent slept thru in...what seems like years!
Hopefully Mum will have little un next weekend for us to go out.
Bye for now
Frankie

sensible idea to sell your car privately - not like us lol - we had a megane 53 plate which we part x for 3900 which is really bad but we couldnt afford to be without a car.
Ive only just started childminding so havent any children yet been advertising loads so fingers crossed i get someone soon.
It was our 1st wedding annerversary and 1st time without our children 3 and a 6mth old so was nice but strange.
What part of cardiff are u in? I had a childminder for my son in Radyr but he finished when I had my DD.

Hi
We are just off Whitchurch Road near the Heath Hospital.
I'm sure you will get kids soon. I found most of mine through going to toddler groups and telling EVERYONE what I did! Gets you known and hopefully then people recommend you.
I do before and after school children too, but the school is right opposite the house so I don't use the car for that.
Take care
Frankie
