Not sure where she can do one but the course is only 12 hours long. This can be done over 3 saturdays or 6 evening sessions. My friend has just completed it and says its very good

you need to call your local council's childrens information service department. they provide all the courses. the course is called ICP (introducing childminding practice)
hope this helps.

Find your local Childrens Information Service here and they will point you in the right direction.

hey prisoner,
have tried that link and it shows there are no training courses in the whole of the central london area...a bit wierd no?
will call the council on monday jojo and see what that throws up, but would have thought there would be some kind of info/listing online.

I am pretty sure that if you ring them, then they will be able to point you in the right direction. Unfortunately, every CIS works in different ways, so some areas have a more patchy information base than others.

As far as I know, local councils are not anything to do with the Childrens Info Service (unless my area is completely different to everyone else's??)
