does your nanny clean your diamonds?

was wondering if anyone else has this problem? I know it should be my housekeeper's job, but my nanny has smaller more dextrous fingers that are better at it. should I reduce her hourly wage as an incentive to work more hours as she doesn't seem keen to clean my jewels on top of childcare and light domestic duties?

Gosh no. I would never allow my nanny to touch my jewels. My driver takes them to Aspreys for me to be cleaned.

I employ a small urchin specifically to clean my diamonds. If they don't do a good enough job I send them up the chimney.

Hands that wipe children's arses wouldn't go anywhere near my diamonds.

Clean your diamonds? Surely when they get soiled one just gives them to a charity shop and gets some new ones?

Absolutely not. One wouldn't want to put temptation in the way of the staff. These lower classes don't have the same moral fibre. Besides, if the nanny were cleaning the jewels, who would be looking after the children? One couldn't be expected to do it oneself!

No I keep the jewels at my little place in the country and the nanny never goes their, gosh I can't even begin to imagine a weekend their with the nanny and children.

at asking your housekeeper to deal with your jewewls. Do you not have a ladies maid? Am appalled that you show such low standards in public. As for asking your nanny to do it, words fail me....
I send my ladies maid to the bank to collect my jewels when I want to wear them. A man from Aspreys goes to the bank every year to clean them...
