ie someone from an agency to look after your kids for a while weekend including overnight? We have no family who would take the kids overnight and dh and I would really like a weekend away together.

I do this. It's called proxy parenting - does cost a pretty penny or two Wink

Many nannies on mn do this as well

What area are you and maybe someone can help

As blondes says I have done this lots and even done odd days at weekends. But have often done Sat lunchtime til Sun lunchtime, or even fri eve til Sun eve.

Hopefully you will find someone on here. I have usually done a babysit beforehand so children have met me but have been known to have done it meeting the children on the day - sometime circumstances are just what they are.

Yup, I do this...have done through an agency but mostly do for families word of mouth now

I charge per hour until 11pm then £40 until they wake up then per hour

So if I worked from Friday 5pm until Sunday 4pm it would be

5pm-11pm @£10ph (£60)
11pm-6.30am (for example) £40
6.30am-11pm (£165)
6.30am-4pm (£95)

So £360...BUT I'm ofsted registered and parents often pay half cash and the rest in vouchers later in the month and am happy to discuss a meet in the middle money wise

How old are the children? PGL type places can be good for children 7 and over to go away for the weekend and let you get away too.

DaffodilField · 28/10/2014 22:21

Children are 2 and 4. But we do save childcare vouchers so to get a nanny who would accept these would be amazing as we have a bit more saved than we need. Never thought of that.

If your based in London do get In touch. I'm a qualified nanny with over ten years childcare experience.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 28/10/2014 22:48
