Baby sitting companies - Chelmsford

Afternoon, I was registered but my account seems to have been deleted!

Anywho. My wife and i are a bit isolated in terms of access to babysitters. All my family are the other side of London, Nottingham or abroad and we dont speak with any of my wifes family apart from one aunt who lives 40 minutes away in Woodford. We have friends who are willing to babysit but they are in Romford and i dont feel comfortable putting them out.

As a result we am looking in to companies who employ babysitters we could use in the evening once our daughter is in bed. As parents you can all imagine our fears with this but I would still like to explore the possibility.

I was wondering if others have done some similar digging and could impart any wisdom? We want a regulated company who are vigorous with background checks and who have met the staff they employ etc.

I work for through sitters and recommend them. The vetting process is very thorough. I keep coming back to the same families most of the time (they request me). Their price structure is very reasonable IMO.

Do they meet all the sitters they use? Is it a franchise or one large company?

Yes. I had to attend an interview and all my references were followed before I got accepted. It's not a franchise. The good thing about them is they can still supply you with a babysitter if you go to a different city for holiday/ wedding whatever. They can also provide one during the day.
