Paying for CM with childcare vouchers....?

I've engaged a childminder for 2 days per week starting end of October. It will be £25 per day.

I'm going to apply for busybees childcare vouchers which will be deducted from my salary monthly.

Anyone do this? Do you convert the weekly rate into monthly for salary deduction? But then what about holiday weeks (hers and ours which she charges half-price).

Or do you fill in a form every month and get a different amount deducted depending on number of days you need to pay for this particular month?

Cant get my head round it - help would be appreciated.

Hi,

I've used Busybees but it was about 18 months ago now. At the time you could fill in an order for each month either with a paper form or online. You work out the monthly rate and can ask for different amounts each month. The staff there were always very helpful with filling in forms.

My only tip would be to take care around bank holidays, they bring their deadlines for submitting your order forward and I missed a voucher at Xmas because of this, meant I didn't get my £50 saving that month.

thanks pamina I didnt know you can do it online - I will check out that option

does that mean your care provider gets the payment auto into her bank acct or can you generate a voucher?

thanks ProfYaffle too - good to know they are helpful and no problems with a different amount each month - I have visions of our payroll section getting things wrong and me spending hours each week (which I dont have) checking and chasing payments
