Hi there

I am just in the process of my training and registration to become a Childminder, from your experience where is it best to advertise your services to generate your business? How long does the whole process take?
I am due back to work from maternity leave soon and would like to have this up and running by then so that I dont have to return to my old job!!

Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks

childrens information service (CIS) is good as its on the internet
other than that its shops, doctors, newspapers

You could advertise on
netmums.com,
familiesonline.co.uk,
hallolondon.co.uk

Anywhere that offers free advertising. I have got a lot of enquiries from advertisements there.

Thanks DMO, I have just enquired about local groups so I think I will go to those and get to know other mums in the area!

I got two mindees through advertising here, in the Nanny share section, and one from advertising on netmums.com. Now I'm full!
It did take about a month, then all three came at once... like buses
