i dont think we have enough of these types of posts and i have had a really good day with my children today so i am going to tell you about my day, we havent done anything too adventurous in fact we only left the house to do the school runs its just been a nice day, i feel confident and good about the job im doing, mindee loves coming to me and enjoys being here which makes me feel great, im getting on well with his mum and i think she appreciates the effort i put in.

one of the things we did today was make him a bag for him to put all his things in, we did fabric painting on the front and stuck his name on with felt, he was so chuffed

so come on, tell me about your day (good or bad) so that all the new/ learner cm's can get a picture of what its really like instead of reading about the problems we have to deal with

My day today was rather uneventful (do bear in mind my dd is only 3 weeks so I'm currently only regularly doing my schoolies.) I had one schoolie before school, walked him to school with ds and dd, had the middle part of the day off, then picked up the three schoolies and came home, made things with beads, then started dinner and they played footie out the front!

Yesterday was a better example. Had my before-school schoolie, and took him in, him and ds were chatting about the trees on the way.
Then just before lunch I picked up a pre-school mindee, we walked home and he and ds sat down for lunch. (Incidentally had the HV over too to check dd's hearing, but they were good as gold.)

I read them some stories (6! they really got into them) We spent the next two hours playing trains, and cars, and kitchens. Then walked to school to pick up his sister (I'm only doing emergency cover for them) plus my regular mindees. We sat down and did colouring, the little ones colouring in trains I'd drawn and photocopied for them. Then my usual mindees had a spot of tv (15 minutes) and I made some hair accessories with the emergency cover older mindee, while ds and the younger mindee played with the happyland.

We then all played in the garden till everyone went home!
