Hello

Please I need help with picking up my daughter from School in Headingly. I'd be grateful if she's picked up from school at 3.30pm. We look to pick her up at 6.30pm.

Have you tried www.childcare.co.uk? It's a really good website for finding childcare.

Good luck finding someone.

Seriously? Shock Hmm

Google your Family Information Service and see what they can suggest. I really don't think a random request for ANYONE to pick up your child from school, place on the internet, can be a good idea.

Shock I'm really not sure that this is the place to be looking. I live in that area and there are plently of registered childminders. The site posted above would be a good place to start.

You could also try here:

Check with your local council, or through word of mouth at the school gate. I'm being charitable and thinking your childcare options have let you down rather than you've left it until this close to term starting before you look for anything..

mimishimmi · 20/08/2014 07:30

You need to either hire someone or look for accredited after-school care, not hope some kindly random you don't know from Jack will read this board and think "I'd think I could take on someone else's kid for a few hours" out of the goodness of their hearts.

amyhamster · 20/08/2014 07:32

She's not looking for a kindly random !
She's posted on the childminder & nanny board not chat !
& she hasn't put the school
Calm down people & hopefully a registered cm will see this and pm she has spaces in the area

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/08/2014 07:47

Ditto hamster but yes look at local cm
In area and hope you get someone

LIZS · 20/08/2014 07:54

Maybe also try posting on your "local" site local.mumsnet.com/topics

Try nannyjob or gum tree.
