Nanny cost in Birmingham

Hi all

We're looking for a part time live out Nanny, 10 hours per day, 3 days a week, in Birmingham. I'm hoping to pay £10 per hour gross (seems a fair salary based on ads for roles in the area and after talking to local branch of Tinies).

I've got myself a bit confused though. Would anyone be able to help me out my letting know a ball park annual figure we'll be looking at when taking into account Nanny tax/tax and NI, pocket money and any other likely extras? We are not insisting on a driver so potentially won't need to consider petrol.

I'm very much hoping the annual figure doesn't come in at a great deal more than my annual salary!

Thank you. :)

Around 17,500 perhaps a bit more. It really depends on activity costs.

MrAnchovy.com/calc/ will give you the employers NI figure. 16,704 total of gross salary and employers NI. Then the additions will be things like payroll admin, activity costs, food/drink. £15 a week for activities is probably doable, though depends on number of children and what activities they do.
