Childcare at very short notice

I'm looking for childcare in Teddington (or nearby) on Friday, at very short notice. For a baby, 6 months old. For about 3 hours. I have an appointment, can't take baby with me. Have looked for local creches but they seem to be 'stay and play' types, not drop offs. Does anyone know of a suitable creche in Teddington?

Nanny agency probably your best bet - most do emergency childcare. It'll be expensive. I'd be amazed if you'd find a creche or nursery willing to take a 6 month old baby at short notice as a one off.

A quick Google brings up this agency which does emergency childcare in your area from newborn - I'm sure there are others

I'm about half an hour from you and my work sent me some info about emergency childcare agencies. Am feeding the babe at the moment but can dig the details for you this eve if you like.

If you get really stuck I could have him/her. Realise a stranger is probably not what you want but I work for the nhs so am crb checked and have a 7 month old so they could entertain each other.

There's an emergency childcare website that's really good for this sort of thing - has nannies, childminders and even nurseries with short notice places.
