Help! Can you recommend a childminder ?

I need a childminder from September '14 for my 2 year old daughter. I'd prefer a recommendation, rather than 'name grabbing' from a list provided by the family info services ! It would be for the Horfield / Bishopston / St Andrews areas. Can anyone help ??

How is a recommendation from a stranger on an Internet forum any different from name grabbing from a list? Recommendations surely only make you feel better if they are from someone you trust. ,
