just wondering really, what kind of things do you let slide and what sort of things are you very tough on? how do you disapline your children etc

im tough on....
hygiene
sitting at the table properly during meals
eating all lunch or not getting anything else

i let slide..
if they are watching a programme and their tv time is up i will let them carry on til it ends

im sure ill think of other stuff but a bit busy so will pop back in a bit.

I am strict on
eating/using scissors pencils etc at table
no pudding unless main course eaten
safety in the house/car/when out and about
hygiene
sharing/being nice to each other

less strict on
tv/computer time (within reason)
licking the bowl out when baking
I let them have chocci biscuits when its a mindees birthday (double )

can't think of any more at the mo but I am sure there are lots more.

I am Mrs Hitler! But my mindies adore me! I picked one up from the airport today after her holiday and she couldn't stop saying my name, she was so pleased to see me.

Strict on manners, sharing, eating tidily, but with enjoyment, NO SWEETS,EVER! Taking turns, no TV if it is light! ( My own kids were never allowed tv in daylight hours.) No climbing on the furniture, tops back on felt tips after use, use tissues not your sleeve, no shouting or arguing in the car, likewise no eating or drinking in the car............

I know my mindies love me, so do their parents, because I am so strict!

A look , excuse me, or a raised eyebrow is sufficient!

Edker - it might be better to start your own thread....this is hijacking someone elses subject.

However you might be worth looking at the NCMA contracts - you really cannot mind without a contract

Good luck with your minding
