Fab reliable Nanny required in Hertford

Hi - I'm looking for a reliable energetic nanny in Hertford for 4 afternoons a week. Does anyone have a nanny to share or know of a good contact? I've got 1 and 4 year old who will need collecting from nursery and school for an afternoon of play and teatime. Also any tips on what hourly rate I can expect to pay? Thanks for any info.

Hi, i am in Hertford too! I can't be of much help to you employment wise, as i already have my own son aged 1yr and 2 after school children i look after. I am a nanny currently but i am now a registered childminder, so will definately keep an ear open for you amongst the nannies.
What nursery/school do they need collecting from?
I would say hourly for a nanny you would be looking at around £6-£8 before tax and NI, or less for a share. How about a childminder?

BTW - why don't they pay nannies more? My cleaner charges £10 an hour for God's sake and these are my kids.

Nice to see someone who thinks Nannies should be paid more Alas not every thinks the same, childcare has historically been an unpaid profession, be it nannies, or in group daycare such as nursery/pre-school/playgroup.

Not in your area alas, though if I hear of anyone looking in your area, still steer them towards this thread.

Wow, i can see you will be a lovely boss! My bosses are generous too, i do just after school and they reward me very well but its very rare! The rate i mentioned is the going rate for the area... I will keep a listen out for you and let you know. Take care!
