Ofsted Inspection A Week Thursday...

i have all my sockets covered, am prepared for question about fire guard, got down stairs baby gate in garage waiting to go up..got selection of appropriate books(age/sex/race etc) and bought some diversity' toys at weekend, will brush up on standards this week...any tips on how to make it go smoothly???
what happend on yours??

write a list of all the things you want to do and will have done and they should be ok with that,. start thinking about your procedures and manafgement of parents and sickness etc.

try not to panic the first meeting is just that.

so my T&C would be needed by her?
am working on that at minute.
do they just need to see usable room ie all down stairs and bathroom, oh and spare room as im applying for overnight care..oh sh*t, it still got rubbish in from move..arrrghh

dont worry just tell her what you will be doing and why and it should be fine.

They need to see all areas that you want registering.

Try not to panic these are a few things they pointed out to me

Bathroom - Make sure mouthwash, hairspray and that sort of thing are stored out of reach, if you've got a lock on the door make sure it can be opened from the outside.

Glass - make sure it's safety glass if not tell them you'll get some safety film from mothercare.

Rugs - make sure they don't slip.

I didn't think about these until she pointed them out

know they are hot on poilcys at mo so make sure they are all up to date
all windows have safty glass
all children have own towel for b/room or paper towels
if children go in kitchen child locks are in place
they love menus aswel

ooh good tips girls..am moving all cleaning stuffs to higher cupboard tonight and will draw up a menu too
