CM club: Getting a dog without informing parents

My husband has bought me a puppy!!
He got a "family friendly" labrador, as we have 3 children of our own.

Problem is, as it was a surprise, I haven't informed the parents of the children that I mind. Obviously I didn't have a dog when they chose me.

I don't think it will be a problem with them but the ofsted literature states that you must inform parents before taking on new pets. Could I be reported for not doing this??

I really don't know what to do.

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

I guess you'll only be reported if one of the parents has a problem with it.

Do you have a place where if parents do feel uncomfortable, the dog can be kept separately from the children? If so, can you offer that as an option so that they won't mind?
