Is giving notice awful?

I have to do it for the first time

I guess it depends why.

we gave notice to our nanny in March because my husband had decided to give up work to be a SAHD for a few years. It WAS hard because we really liked the nanny, but we wern't critisising her IFKWIM. ended with a hug and the notice worked with no hard feelings . She still babysits for us.

not easy but not the end of the world!

i had had my child for 6 mths but he annoyed the other children and made them upset
