Nanny's meals during work: taxable?

Our payroll agency needs us to submit some information regarding additional benefits our nanny receives. She does have lunch with us every day (we included meals in her contract) so do we need to report this, and if so, how? I'm not sure how we would estimate or document the cost, as I don't purchase food specifically for her and she eats very little. It's probably £1/day at most.

Thanks!

I would have thought you don't need to report that. If you were taking your nanny out for a lavish lunch then that may count.

Probably best to call the payroll company.

You don’t have to report anything to HMRC or pay tax and National Insurance if you offer all your employees free or subsidised meals of a reasonable value in the workplace.
