Three days a week but which three days?

Hi there

I'll be going back to work three days a week after Easter and my 10 month old son will be looked after by a childminder.

My work are very flexible about which three days I do and the only one I have to be there for is Wednesday.

Does anyone have any advice on which three days I should do particularly with regard to my baby feeling happy and settled and understanding our routine?

At the moment I'm looking at Monday, Wednesday and Friday but I'm concerned that that may feel disruptive for him at the beginning?

Or perhaps I'm over thinking this and he'll get used to whatever we put in place!

Many thanks in advance.

Tues/Wed/Fri - Monday to get sorted after the weekend so you can really enjoy the weekends knowing you have Mon to do stuff. Tues and Wed consecutive days for both you and baby to feel 'in routine', nice break on Thurs then yay - it's Fri!

I did Monday, Thursday and Friday......

Everyone has that 'Monday morning Feeling' - so get it over with....as you then have 2 days off!

Then it's Thursday...so tomorrow is Friday!!!

It worked well for me.

Thanks all for all this info. V helpful to hear everyone's different experiences. I think I'll stick with the days I have chosen and see how it works as there is flexibility to change with both work and the cm.

Also, it's only a temporary arrangement because come the summer I'll be moving up to four days a week anyway!
