Au-pair salary

Do you pay your au-pair same salary throughout the year or give extra during school holidays? If extra, how much more?

I don't, but mine still do the same hours during school holidays, but it become 2-3 full/half days rather than spread over the week. There are no language courses here over the holidays.

Occasionally she works at the weekend and I pay an extra £7/hour, but this is weekend work, so maybe pay less during the week. I've asked our au pair if she would like to come away with us to CP during the summer, if will work similar hours if she does come so no extra pay.
