Particularly postnatal doulas.

Can you give me some general feedback of your experience of using a doula.

Wby did you decide to use one?

Were you happy overall with your decision to use one?

Would you use a doula again?

What specifically was good about the doula?

Anything that particularly helped/impressed you?

What did you pay (if you dont mind) and were you happy with this amount?

Anything would be great to help me on my road to becoming one

Thanks

I had a postnatal doula after #3 (3rd c-section), but I was living in America at the time.

I found the doula to be incredibly supportive of me during the post birth time. My husband was somewhat supportive, but another woman really made a difference. We didn't have any family living near us, so she helped fill that role a bit. But it was better, because I didn't have any of the "family baggage" to worry about. She would do whatever was asked.

Can you give me some general feedback of your experience of using a doula - expensive, but well worth it for a short period of time.

Wby did you decide to use one? after 3 c-sections, 3yo and 4yo at home. wanted someone who would understand what I was going thru.

Were you happy overall with your decision to use one? Yes, she offered tons of great advice (although in this country I know the health visitors come around to offer advice)

Would you use a doula again? Yes! She helped me focus on me and fully recover.

Anything that particularly helped/impressed you?
pitched in everywhere! cooked meals regularly!
