Will this affect my registration?

Im almost through registration process for becoming a CMer.

Ds1 is 4 and woke up this morning, vomitted about 8 oclock and i sent him back to bed. There he stayed sleeping soundly til 1pm. I sent and note in with ds1 to give to the teacher saying why he was absent. I got a phonecall from the schools child protection officer at 3.30pm saying that someone ha reported ds2 being OUT ON THE MAIN ROAD IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE! At 12noon today. Completely baffled as ds was snoring away at that time of the day and the only time he left the house was with me at 3pm to colllect ds1. So i told CP officer this and he said obviously a mistake then and it wasnt ds2.

But what i am asking is whether this will be recorded on his file and affect my registration?

I was speaking with my social worker yesterday and she asked for the school's details as ds is no longer under the care of the HV. So i know she will be in touch with the school. I hate the thought of them thjnkjng i let my 4 year old play out on the middle of the road!

Can anyone advise please?

It is impossible to know I feel. When I worked for Ofsted and did childminder registrations, social services checks were requested early on in the process, though would take a long time to come sometimes, so depending on where in the process things are at, the social services check may already have cleared.

I don't think there is anything you can do about it. Wait and see what happens. For now, document the events of today, so that if in future you get asked about it, you have something to jog your memory.

Thanks nick. I will indeed document it. Good idea.
Im not sure what checks have been done and what havent but the social worker definitely said they needed to speak with the school as she had me write down the contact details for the principal.

But you are right. I can only wait to see what happens.
